Why are scheduled payment dates set?
Most bookings are locked-in signed contracts. Payment dates are very important and must be honored by the agent to the vendor otherwise the bookings are subject to being cancelled.

I am going to Mexico. How can I protect myself from the swine flu?
1. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
2. Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hands cleaners are also effective.
3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way.
4. Try to avoid close contact with sick people. Influenza is thought to spread mainly person-to-person through coughing or sneezing of infected people. If you get sick, CDC recommends that you stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them. (http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/?s_cid=swineFlu_outbreak_internal_001)

When should I renew my passport?
If possible, you should renew your passport approximately six to nine months before it expires. Some countries require that your passport be valid at least 3-6 months beyond the dates of your trip. Some airlines will not allow you to board if this requirement is not met.

Do I really need to purchase Travel Insurance?
Most Travel Insurances protect you from the following:

  • Trip Cancellation
  • Trip Interruption
  • Lost Luggage
  • Trip and Baggage Delays
  • Medical Expenses
  • Emergency Medical Transportation

One would need to decide whether or not they can afford the money spent on the trip if something happens. If the vacation costs more than $1000, then it would be a good idea to insure it.

There are many different travel insurance policies.  Pick one that is a right fit for you and your budget. Below are the links to some good travel insurance companies.
